Note :

  • We can distinguish 2 type of users : Anonymous User and Regular User
  • Anonymous user is user who want his name not to be displayed in the review section, so he want to change his name to asterisk character
  • Regular User is user who want his name to be displayed with his real name (No Changes)

Objective

  • Enhance user privacy and security by anonymizing reviewer names on the review section (on the store page)
  • Replace actual reviewer names with anonymized versions using asterisks (for Anonymous user).

Possibilities

Gain

  • Mitigate the risk of malicious actors targeting reviewers based on their identities.
  • Reviewer's (Anonymous) name will still be readable and recognizable without revealing their full identity.
  • Distinguish between different reviewers.

Pain

  • The name that is too short (<= 2 letters) is not suitable to be anonymized (asterisk). Would it be better in the future if there is a requirement for the minimum length of the name to register?
