Q&A About SevenRooms Features
Question: Is there a time limit to edit reservations on SevenRooms?
Answer: Yes, we can't edit reservations once the reservation date has passed. For example, if the reservation is for April 24, 2024, we can't edit it starting from April 25, 2024, onwards. However, we can still make edits within the same reservation day. For instance, we can update a reservation scheduled for April 24, 2024, at 1:00 PM until the end of the day (before it changes to April 25, 2024).
Question: Are there features for handling big group bookings on SevenRooms?
Answer: Yes, SevenRooms offers the Reservation Requests feature to manage large group bookings. With this feature, administrators can confirm or reject group bookings without going through inventory validation. However, it requires manual action from the administrator via the SevenRooms dashboard to update the Reservation Request status to confirmed or rejected. Question: Are there any special cases for updating reservation status?
Answer:
Yes, there are special cases for updating the reservation status to be "COMPLETE" (Seated or Left) or "arrived" on HungryHub reservation status. These updates can only be made using the application accessible from iOS devices (iPad or iPhone) and cannot be done from the web client dashboard. Additionally, the status can only be updated to "COMPLETE" within the reservation date and cannot be updated before the reservation date arrives.
Question: Can we use Thai characters in the notes or special request fields?
Answer: Absolutely, Thai characters can be used in all fields, including notes and customer names. Additionally, creating, updating, and canceling reservations with Thai characters poses no issues whatsoever.
Question: Is there a delay in updating the reservation status from the SevenRooms dashboard to reflect on the HungryHub side?
Answer: Typically, it takes 1 to 10 minutes for the reservation updates to reflect on the HungryHub side. The duration of this delay may vary depending on the traffic volume. If there is high traffic, it may take longer for the updates to propagate.
